John Harold Tyson

Mr. John Harold Tyson, 60, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2012, at Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Moore County, NC, Mr. Tyson was born March 29, 1952. He was the son of the late Fred Thomas Tyson and Minnie Ruth Swain Tyson. He graduated from Union Pines High School and Wayne Community College. He was a member of Richland Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and he ran the sound system. Mr. Tyson was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed restoring cars. Mr. Tyson is survived by his wife, Janice Tyson, of the home; son, Christopher Thomas Tyson, of the home; sister, Janette Bristow Ashley, of Sanford, NC, brother, Tommy Tyson, and wife, Jackie, of Carthage, NC, Larry Bristow and wife, Betty, of Siler City, NC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2012, at Richland Baptist Church and other times at the home.
