John Wesley Spencer

John Wesley Spencer, 75, of Seagrove, died Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A private funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop J. Harold Williams and Minster Michelle Bowden officiating. The service will be livestreamed on Ridge Funeral Home's Facebook page. J.W. was born on October 15, 1944, in Alamance Co., MC to the late Robert Clinton Cassidy and Josphine Matilda Spencer Cassidy. He is survived by his sisters, Portia Johnson of Asheboro, Emma Maness of Seagrove, Dottie McGriff of Asheboro; brothers, Ernest Cassidy and wife Beverly of Seagrove, Robert Cassidy of Seagrove, Andrew Spencer and wife Mary of Asheboro; special great nieces and nephews, Nehmiah Armstrong, Jeremiah Armstrong, and Emmariah Armstrong. The body will lie in state from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2020, prior to the service.
