John "J.T." Thomas Lowe

John Thomas " J.T." Lowe, 86, of Asheboro, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM, Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Dr. D. Keith Hudson and Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Born on September 3, 1930 in Randolph County, NC, Mr. Lowe was the son of the late Duke Lowe and Bessie Lambeth Lowe McPherson. He worked for Dixie Furniture and later retired from Briles Oil Co. He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and served in the US Army. Mr. Lowe was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his sister, Mary McMasters. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Nina Lowe of the home; daughters, Gale Lowe of Asheboro, Barbara Lowe Collins and husband, Mark of Asheboro; grandchildren, Sarah Bodsford, Ruby Lowe Bridges and husband, David, Joshua Lowe, all of Asheboro; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Coble, Joseph Bridges, Leah Bridges, and Savannah Bridges, all of Asheboro The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
