John "J. J."" Joseph

Mr. William John "J.J." Joseph, III, 63, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at his vacation home in Shallotte, NC. Mr. Joseph will be available for viewing from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Joyce Bunn officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Bluefield, WV, Mr. Joseph was born October 26, 1949. He was the son of Betty Jane Lampert Joseph and the late William John Joseph, Jr. He was a member of ETA OMEGA Alumni Association of PI KAPPA ALPHA Fraternity. The fraternity was a huge part and core of his life. His fraternity brothers were his second family. He was an integral part in reestablishing a Charter at UNC-Pembroke. Mr. Joseph was a sports medicine trainer at Tulane University. He also managed the Holiday Bowl after the death of his father. In addition to his father, Mr. Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, David Joseph. Mr. Joseph, in addition to his mother, is survived by sisters, Ceceila Jayne Pinnix and husband, Dennis, of Greensboro, NC, Shirley Joseph Williams and husband, Robert, of Pleasant Garden, NC; niece, Tracey Brown and husband, Keith, of Asheboro, NC.
