John Michael Holpe

John Michael Holpe, Jr., 69, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully in his home, Sunday, April 7, 2019. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, at Our Lady of Mercy, Winston-Salem, with Father Carl Zdancewicz officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preceding in death are his parents, John Michael Holpe, Sr., and Irene Forgacs Holpe. Surviving are his best friends, Stephen and Tina Lawson of Winston-Salem; sister, Carolyn Shaffer of Wheeling WV; and his loving pet, Eli. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Our Lady of Mercy. Memorials may be made to the Animal Shelter in Winston-Salem, 5570 Sturmer Park Circle, Winston- Salem, NC, 27105.
