John A. Harrington

John Allen Harrington, Jr., 38, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am, Monday, January 11, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Johnson. Burial will follow at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Star. Mr. Harrington was born June 25, 1977, in Guilford Co., NC. He had worked at Central Carolina Waste. He enjoyed kayaking, fishing and being outdoors. Mr. Harrington was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Stewart Harrington, and his grandparents, David and Gladys Layton. Survivors include his sons, John Allen Harrington, III, Tyler Allen Harrington, both of the home; father, John Allen Harrington, Sr., of Asheboro; sister, Rhonda Wall, of Randleman; brother, Brandon Allen Harrington, of Lexington; and grandmother, Frances Cooper, of TN.
