John Carter

Mr. John Perry "�Buck' Carter, 78, of Seagrove, NC, died Monday, January 21, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2013, at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Chesterfield, SC with the Rev. William Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Chesterfield County, SC, Mr. Carter was born May 6, 1934. He was the son of the late John Carter and Anna Thelma Crowley Carter. Mr. Carter was retired from NC DOT and loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Carter; brother, Carson Carter; son, Randy Carter; and daughter, Doris Elaine Carter. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Minnie Carter, of the home; daughters, Mary Hunt and husband, Steve, of Seagrove, NC, Karen Voncannon and husband, Benny, of Seagrove, NC, Penny Chriscoe and husband, Kelly, of Asheboro, NC, Robin Kanoy and husband, Keith, of Asheboro, NC; son, David Carter and wife, Denise, of Trinity, NC; sisters, Edith Brown, of Patrick, SC, Barbara Dixon, of Hartsville, SC; brothers, Joe Carter, of Patrick, SC, Freddie Carter, of Patrick, SC, Carlos Carter, of Patrick, SC, Cecil Carter, of Asheboro, NC, Jack Carter, of Asheboro, NC; 12 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Sampson.
