Joe Parlier

Mr. Quincy Joseph Parlier, Jr., 75, of Randleman, NC, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at GrayBrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, July 18, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Funeral honors will be provided by the Greensboro Police Department Honor Guard and Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Washington County, TN, Mr. Parlier was born May 25, 1939. He was the son of the late Quincy Joseph Parlier, Sr. and Martha Jenkins Parlier. Mr. Parlier served in the US Army. He retired from the Greensboro Police Department after 28 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. Mr. Parlier is survived by his wife, Ella Davis Parlier, of the home; daughters, Rebecca Parlier Bachert, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Susan Parlier Wood, of VA; stepmother, Lucy Parlier, of Elizabethton, TN; brothers, Kenneth Parlier, of Greenville, TN, Allen Parlier, of Elizabethton, TN and special friends, Larry, Lisa and Luke Chilton, of Ramseur, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Friday, July 18, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
