Joann Keith

Mrs. Joann Nance Hunt Keith, 77, of Denton, NC, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Smith and Brian Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Keith was born June 3, 1935. She was the daughter of the late John Blair Hunt and Anna Leigh Kearns Hunt. She graduated from Farmer School in 1953. She worked at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Thomasville Medical Center and Mountain Vista Health Park. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Keith, Frank Crissman; infant son, Kipley Sidney Keith; son, Kendell Wayne Keith; daughter, Kelly Keith Perry; brother, Sidney Hunt. Mrs. Keith is survived by daughters, Karen Keith, of Lexington, Katie Keith Hill, of Denton; sister, Martha H. Luther and husband, Rex, of Denton; brother, Darrell Hunt and wife, Jane, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Mandy Perry Cole and husband, David, Cassidy Keith Gould, and husband, Justin, Keith Perry, Petty Officer 1st Class, Cole Terrell and wife, Krystan, Paige Terrell, Brittany Keith, Petty Officer Carter Terrell, Miranda Hill, Stephanie Keith, Savannah Hill, Rayanna Petree; and great grandchildren, Deacon, Colby, Jayla and Addie. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and other times at the home of her brother, Darrell Hunt, 1226 Billy Walker Road, Asheboro.
