Joan Spivey

Joan Karen Spivey, better known as "Joanie", 71, of Asheboro, NC, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at her daughter's home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at The Exchange, 204 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203.

Born October 13, 1953, in Guilford Co., NC, Ms. Spivey was the daughter of the late Basil Raymond and Carolyn Owen Spivey. She had worked as an C.N.A. and later in Home Health for Randolph Health. Mrs. Spivey was strong willed and "her own women." She enjoyed photography, especially on her spontaneous day trips, and was a huge animal lover. Mrs. Spivey was a loving, caring, beautiful, and amazing person.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Spivey was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Chaise Finegan, and sister, Deborah Lynn Spivey Englehart

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Finegan Hunter (Scott) of Asheboro; brother, Joel Anthony Spivey of Jamestown; nieces, Lori Ann Englehart Burton and Hannah C. England Spivey.
