Joan Spivey

Joan Karen Spivey, 71, of Asheboro, NC, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at her daughter's home.

Family and friends will be invited to have a celebration of Mrs. Spivey's life at the home of daughter, Patricia and Scott Hunter at a later date.

Born October 13, 1953, in Guilford Co., NC, Ms. Spivey was the daughter of the late Basil Raymond and Carolyn Owen Spivey. She had worked as an C.N.A. and later in Home Health for Randolph Health. Mrs. Spivey was strong willed and "her own women." She enjoyed photography, especially on her spontaneous day trips, and was a huge animal lover. Mrs. Spivey was a loving, caring, beautiful, and amazing person.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Spivey was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Chaise Finegan, and sister, Deborah Lynn Spivey Englehart

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Finegan Hunter (Scott) of Asheboro; brother, Joel Anthony Spivey of Jamestown; nieces, Lora Ann Englehart Burton and Hannah C. England Spivey.
