Mr. Jerry Wayne Hunt, age 57, of US Hwy 64 West, Asheboro, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jody Harrison officiating. Born on July 16, 1953, in Randolph County, Mr. Hunt was the son of the late Winfred and Marie Kindley Hunt. He was employed with Motion Eaze Recliners and he was a former Randleman police officer. He loved playing and coaching baseball. The Tabernacle Lions Club Little League Association was dear to his heart. He also enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Jan Hunt, of the home; daughters, Becky Wright and husband, Steve, Carrie Ann Dorrity and husband, Brent, all of Asheboro, Dana Jordan and husband, Jasper, of Eagle Springs; son, Darren Hunt, of Asheboro; brother, O'Neal Hunt, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Montana Sky Wright, Cody Wright, Kaz Wright, Kassie Dorrity, Tarra Dorrity, Tyler Jordan, Trenton Jordan, Jordan Hunt; great grandson, Camden Wright The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Monday, July 26, 2010.
