Jerry L. Morgan

Mr. Jerry Lee Morgan, 68, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Pastor Ron Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Morgan was born April 13, 1942. He was the son of the late Silas Ervin Morgan and Rhoda Elizabeth Sanders Morgan. He was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church had served as Assistant Superintendent of the Jaycees. He had worked for the Department of Corrections, Furnitureland South and sold Insurance. Even though you may not have seen him, Jerry was always there for you. Mr. Morgan served in the 306th Bomb Wing Division of the US Air Force where he was stationed at the US Embassy in Turkey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, John Morgan. Mr. Morgan is survived by brother, Jim Morgan, of Aynor, SC; sister, Catherine Inlow, of Asheboro, NC, cousins, Pat Walden and husband, Roy, Donna Sykes, all of Asheboro, NC, nephews and nieces, Tony Morgan, Jon Morgan, Melanie Beaman, Jennifer "Sissy" Stilner, Jeff Inlow, Jimmy Inlow and Eddie Inlow. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Jerry's honor.
