Jerry Lois Moody

Mrs. Jerry Lois Draughn Moody, 67, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Balfour Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Mrs. Moody was born January 15, 1945 in Newport News, VA. She resided in Asheboro, NC, for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Monroe Roy Draughn and Ola Belle Miller Draughn. She was a member of Balfour Baptist Church, and was an associate at JC Penney. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Richard M. Draughn. Mrs. Moody is survived by her husband, David H. Moody Sr., of the home; daughter, Donna Hunt Daughtry and husband, Richard, of Smithfield, NC; step children, Sharon Diane Reid and husband, Steve, of Raleigh, NC, David H. Moody Jr., and wife, Jean, of Swansboro, NC, Scott Anthony Moody and wife, Susan, of Newport, NC; grandchildren, Lauren Daughtry, Benjamin Daughtry; six step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, December 14, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home.
