Jennie L. Teague

Mrs. Jennie "Jean"� Lucas Teague, 83, of Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Teague was born September 22, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Jonah Alvin Lucas and Lula Ann Hogan Lucas. Mrs. Teague was retired from Randolph Hospital, and was a member of Liberty Road Baptist Church of Asheboro. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She had a love of people and was an inspiration to those who knew her. Among her many talents, she enjoyed quilting, writing, and oil painting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wade Teague; brother, Dale Lucas; sisters, Nettie Parks, Mozelle Briles, and Jerona "Jerri"� Lucas. Mrs. Teague is survived by daughter, Cynthia Cagle Hilliard and husband, Larry, of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Kacie Hilliard; grandson, Saegan Hilliard; sister, Erma Sewell, of Laurinburg, NC; sister-in-law, Bertha Lucas and family of Pisgah; nieces, Andrea Briles, Deborah Albright, and Barbara King, of Asheboro, NC, Marilyn Auman, of Greensboro, NC, Dean Parrish, of Charlotte, NC, Phyllis Clark, of Laurinburg, NC, Brenda Smith, of South Carolina, and Kathy Ingram, of Georgia; nephews, Don Briles and Dan Parks, of South Carolina, and Larry Parks, of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Larry and Cindy Hilliard. Memorials may be made to Randolph Hospital, c/o Resource Management Indigent Fund, 364 White Oak Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
