Jennie Bell Whitley Walker

Mrs. Jennie Bell Whitley Walker, 81, of Seagrove, NC, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at her home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, August 31, 2012, at Victory Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Fleshman and the Rev. Wayne VunCannon officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Walker was born February 7, 1931. She was the daughter of the late William C. Whitley and Flora Crowell Whitley. She was a homemaker and caregiver for many individuals in Randolph County over the years. Mrs. Walker was a member of Victory Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Walker; sisters, Edna Simpson, Alma Morgan; and brothers, Norman Whitley and Hubert Whitley. Mrs. Walker is survived by daughter, Kara W. Davis and husband, Harlon, of Asheboro; sons, Michael T. Walker and wife, Sandra, of Seagrove, Rogon Walker and wife, Betty Sue, of Seagrove; sister, Jerri Walker, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Shane Davis and wife, Helen, of Mountain Top, PA, Kenneth Davis and wife, Crystal, of Seagrove, Stephanie Vann and husband, George, of Troy, Darian Walker and wife, Casey, of Charlotte, Bradley Walker and wife, Jennifer, of Asheboro, Travis Walker and wife, Kailey, Katlyn Walker, Logan Walker, all of Seagrove; and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
