Jean Johnson

Emma Jean Kennedy Johnson, 72, of Franklinville, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Allen Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born July 16,1946 in Randolph County, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Walter Carson Kennedy and Thelma Lineberry Kennedy. She had worked at Klaussner Furniture for many years. She loved to dance and listen to music. Mrs. Johnson loved her family very much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alford "A.V." Johnson; daughter, Trisha J. Roberts; sons, Tommy Johnson and Mark Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Johnson of Franklinville; sisters, Ava Lee Bunkmeyer of Seagrove, Doris K.Hurley and husband, Joe of Seagrove, Alma Mae Hughes and husband, Don of Seagrove; brother, Roger Kennedy of Seagrove; grandchildren, Angela Campbell and husband, Jeremiah, Amy Hoffman and husband, Jeremy, Jamie Shelley and husband, Brandon, Martin Cridge Jr., Dewayne Johnson and wife, Kara, Tommy Johnson, Jr. and wife, Kaitlyn, Scotty Roberts, Brittany Roberts; and 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
