Jean Harris

Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Poe Harris, 85, formerly of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2014, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC, with Roger Pritchard and Steve Burns officiating. A native of Lee County, NC, Mrs. Harris was born October 31, 1929, the daughter of the late J.W. and Kate White Poe. She was a member of Balfour Baptist Church and was retired from Randolph Hospital. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Raford Harris, seven brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters, Kathy H. Inman, of Mt. Airy, NC, Gina H. Spencer and husband, Barry, of Sophia, NC; son, Reid Harris, of New London, NC; grandchild, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Atkins, and husband, Kevin, of Thomasville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, LLC, Asheboro, NC.
