Janie Lucas

Janie Elizabeth Green Lucas, 87, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2019, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, with Rev. Ed Carter officiating. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mrs. Lucas was born March 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Goodman and Zora Wallace Green. She had worked at Pinehurst Textiles, Russell Hosiery in Star, and Southwestern Middle School. Mrs. Lucas is survived by her husband, Winfred Lucas, of the home; sons, Larry Lucas and wife, Pam, of Seagrove, Jerry Lucas of Asheboro, Michael Lucas and wife, Janet, of Seagrove; sister, Kathy Williams and husband, Rufus, of Seagrove; brothers, Lee Green and wife, Mary Ann, Colon Green, Kirby Green and wife, Faye, all of Seagrove; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
