James Edward Lowery

March 16, 1930 — September 12, 2014

Mr. James Edward Lowery, 84, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, September 12, 2014, at his home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles T. Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Union County, NC, Mr. Lowery was born March 16, 1930. He was the son of the late Allene Lowery. Mr. Lowery was a retried brick mason and he enjoyed bowling and dancing. He served in the US Army during Korea and received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars. Mr. Lowery is survived by his daughter, Dortha Wagner, of the home; grandsons, Jermaine Wagner, Tyrone Tinnin; and great grandchildren, Jerijah Wagner and Blake Twitty. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
