Doug Greene

James Douglas "Doug" Greene, 50, of Seagrove, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

Doug was born on February 16, 1976, in Moore County, NC, to Verbie "Sonny" Greene and Mary Jane Lockamy Greene, who preceded him in death.

He was a hardworking and dependable man, who believed in the value of honest work and took great pride in being a dedicated provider for his family. His quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and selfless nature were the foundation upon which his family relied. Whether offering practical advice or simply listening with compassion, Doug had a way of helping others navigate life's challenges. His wisdom, patience, and thoughtful perspective left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Doug also enjoyed anime, medieval fantasy and his dogs, who were always by his side.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Greene; children, Dakota Davis and wife Brittany Leiber-Davis, Taylor Davis, Emma Rae Greene; brother, Chris Greene; and canine companions, Maverick and Sandy.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the home, 7013 Meadowbranch Road, Seagrove.

Doug's legacy is one of dedication, wisdom, integrity, and unconditional love. Though he will be deeply missed, his influence will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives were made better by his presence.
