James "Tommy" Davis

Mr. James Mitchell "Tommy" Davis, Jr., 61, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bucky Davis officiating.. Burial will follow at Dover Baptist Church, Seagrove, NC. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Davis was born October 31, 1952. He was the son of James Mitchell Davis, Sr. and Maudie Jane Davis, both of Asheboro. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Lee Davis and Billy Eugene Davis, and step-mother, Anne Davis. Mr. Davis, in addition to his parents, is survived by his wife, Beth Davis, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Peggy Yates and husband, Bud, of Trinity, NC; daughter, Dawn Davis, of Asheboro, NC; son, Michael Davis, of Asheboro, NC; step-sisters, Renetta Brown, Vivian Davis; five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home.
