Mr. James Scott "Scotty" Cooke, 46, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Dawkins officiating. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mr. Cooke was born June 4, 1967. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ervin Blackburn. Scotty is survived by his wife, Sharon Cooke, of the home; daughter, Tiffany Nicole Cooke, of the home; parents, Carolyn and Michael Owens, of Franklinville; brothers, Bobby Wayne Cooke and wife, Julie, of Archdale, Terry Lee Cooke, of Franklinville; stepsister, Yauna Owens, of Ramseur; half brothers, Chris Vickers, of Charlotte, NC, Dustin Taylor and fiancé, Danielle Williams, of Cornelius, NC; special uncle, Terry Little, of Archdale, NC; uncle, Gerald Little, of Salisbury; aunt, Judith Gentry, of Florida; mother-in-law, Cynthia Blackburn, of Asheboro; and father-in law, Glenn Brown and wife, Lisa, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home.
