James "Blue" Davis

Mr. James Lin "Blue"� Davis, 70, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mechele Bowden officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mr. Davis was born March 26, 1942. He was the son of the late Willie Davis and Minnie Clifton Davis. Mr. Davis attended Connected Bridges Outreach Ministries. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Mr. Davis is survived by daughter, Barbara Ann Davis and husband, Jimmy, of High Point, NC, brother, Eddie B. Davis (Alice), of Greensboro, NC, grandchildren, Faith Davis Shields, Jaivon Garlins, Shaniya Davis; special friend and caregiver, Catherine Smith, of Asheboro; special nephews, Paul A. Thomas, of Bennettsville, SC, Johnny " Johnny Cake"� Davis, of High Point, NC; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Angel Care and Community Home Care and Hospice for care shown to Mr. Davis.
