James Henry Anglemyer

James "Jim" Henry Anglemyer, 98, of Asheboro, died Saturday, August 8, 2020, at his home. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, with Pastor David Snyder officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born on May 13, 1922, in Lawrenceburg, TN, Jim was the son of the late Jake W. Anglemyer and Manerva Patterson Anglemyer. He was a retired truck driver with Ingersoll Rand. He also worked as a grocery store clerk for 10 years. Jim was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamster for many years. He attended Asheboro First Assembly and enjoyed fishing. Jim served his country faithfully in the US Army during WW II and in the US Air Force during the Korean war. Surviving are his wife, Patty Anglemyer of the home; daughters, April Babington of Springfield, MO, Michelle Anglemyer of Asheboro, Brandi Schwartz of Summerfield; sons, Matthew H. Anglemyer (Mandy) of Cary, James A. Anglemyer of Charlotte; brother, Joseph Donald Anglemyer of Waverly, OH; grandchildren, Anthony Babington, Trevor Babington (Kodi), Ariel Umphenour, Autumn Umphenour, Bram Painter, Faryn Schwartz and Brycen Aguilar. Jim's body will lie in state from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Randolph County Honor Guard, PO Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204.
