Jake Charlie Graves

Jake Charlie Graves, 19, of 5825 US Hwy 64 West, Asheboro, NC, died Friday, January 21, 2011. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Steve Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Jake was born in High Point, NC on May 22, 1991 and he lived in Randolph County all his life. Jake attended SWRHS and was employed with 220 Paint and Body. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He also loved cars, especially Corvairs. Jake was always happy and loved to make others laugh. He will be greatly missed. He is a Champion! Surviving are his father, Jimmy Graves and mother, Sherry Graves, both of the home; grandfather, Joe Graves and wife, Pat of Williston, FL; grandmothers, Edith Graves and Patsy Spencer, both of Asheboro; best buddy, Thomas Van Zant, of Asheboro; and second mom, Sheila Gunn, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
