Jacquelyn C. Brown

May 27, 1937 — August 16, 2021

Mrs. Jacquelyn "Jackie" Evon Cooper Brown entered her eternal home on Monday, August 16, 2021, at her home surrounded by loved ones. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at New Center Christian Church, with Pastor Jonathan Burris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The service will be live-streamed on the church's website, newcenterchurch.org. Jackie was born on May 27, 1937, in Asheboro, NC, to the late Martin and Pearl Cooper. In 1956, Jackie graduated from Asheboro High School and married the love of her life, Arlie, on June 15. Together they raised their children; Bonnie, Vernon, Lannette, and Deanna, whom she was reunited with when she arrived in Heaven. Her greatest blessings, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were spoiled by her endless supply of chocolates and the many delicious desserts she baked. Jackie was most known for her sewing skills. She was a talented seamstress who gifted friends and family with her creations. Her most notable works of art are her quilts. Jackie shared her talents with many while attending and teaching quilting classes at the Randolph County Senior Adult Association. Many quilts were made for her grandchildren's weddings and the births of her great-grandchildren, but she also made many quilts for benefit raffles and auctions. As an active member of New Center Christian Church, she donated a quilt to every benefit hosted at the church, helping many families in need. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Elton Brown; and daughter, Deanna Brown. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Bonnie LaDare Keeling (Mike), Lannette White (Joe); son, Vernon Brown (Carolyn); grandchildren, Misty Davis (Steve), Jeremy Davis (Michelle), Melissa Kidd (Ronnie), Brandon Brown (Daniela), Amanda Pendleton (Graham), Nikki Harvell (Larry), Amber Carpenter (Kevin), Cory Allred (Chelsea), Susan, William, and Rodney Keeling,, Sharon Long; great-grandchildren, Chasity Smith (Paul Grant), Michaela Smith (Jared Allred), Cheyenne Welborn, Cooper Davis, Ethan, Elijah, Ezra, and Melia Kidd, Abigail, Ava Brown, Bryson Callicutt, Savannah, Ryker, Baby Pendleton, Austin, Temperance, Ashton, Waylyn Harvell, Kolten, Kimber Carpenter, Maddie, Emily Allred, Meghan Keeing, Michael Keeling, Britney Keeling, Jessica Lassiter; three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Richard Cooper, Kenneth Cooper; special quilting friend, Bobbie Kidd.
