Jacob Ross Misenheimer, Jr., 83, of Asheboro, died Monday, June 22, 2026, at Asheboro Rehab and Healthcare Center in Asheboro.


A private service will be held at a later date.


Born in Lee County, NC, on October 9, 1942, Mr. Misenheimer was the son of the late Jacob Misenheimer, Sr., and Lucy Kivett Misenheimer. Being an avid hunter, especially deer and big game, and playing golf, was just a part of his love for spending time being outdoors. He was also very talented working with his hands, even hand crafting muzzle loaders. Mr. Misenheimer was dedicated to his profession and took much pride with his work in the construction field.


In addition to his parents, Mr. Misenheimer was preceded in death by his wife, Scarlett Misenheimer.


He is survived by his daughters, Tracey Foscue (Jay), Kelly Misenheimer; son, Marshall Stott (Kris); grandchildren, Meredith Dunzweiler (Drew), Hollis Stott, Quinn Foscue (Riley), Sawyer Stott, Gilliam Foscue; great grandchildren, Scarlett Dunzweiler, and Ellis Dunzweiler.


The family would like to express a special thank you to all of the staff at Asheboro Rehabilitation and Hospice of the Piedmont.
