J. D. Yarborough

Mr. James Donald "J.D." Yarborough, 81, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2014, at Salisbury National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mr. Yarborough was born April 19, 1933. He was the son of John Yarborough and Beulah Williams Yarborough. He was retired from Klopman Mills. Mr. Yarborough served in the US Army during Korea. Mr. Yarborough is survived by his wife, LaVerne Yarborough, of the home; sons, Don Yarborough and wife, Tammy Huff Yarborough, Anthony Yarborough, all of Asheboro; sister, Faye Chappel, of Candor; grandchildren, Jason Yarborough, of Fayetteville, AR, James Yarborough and Jeremiah Yarborough, both of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ash-Rand Rescue Squad, 805 S.
