Mr. James Colon "J.C."� Jarrell, 82, of Asheboro, NC, went to his Heavenly home Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Central Wesleyan Church with Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Jarrell was born October 29, 1930. He was the son of the late Roland Floyd Jarrell and Lucy Jane Jarrell. He was a member of Central Wesleyan Church where he was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years and church treasurer for 17 years. He was also a member of the choir and a part of the men's fellowship. Mr. Jarrell was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from National Steel after 34 years. He was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Herman Jarrell. Mr. Jarrell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emogene "Jean"� Williams Jarrell, of the home; daughter, Cindy Jarrell; son, Zachary Jarrell and wife, Pamela; brothers, David Jarrell, Bobby Jarrell, Johnny Jarrell; sisters, Melva Powell, Lois Boswell, Pricilla Jarrell; grandchildren, Brittney Jarrell and Conner Jarrell; and one great grandchild, Chloe Moss The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
