Ivey L. Beane

Ivey Lee Beane, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Billy Chriscoe officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born in Randolph County, NC, on August 22, 1939, Mr. Beane was the son of the late John Beane and Florence Chriscoe Beane. He was the former owner and operator of B & B Roofing. He loved going to the beach, metal detecting, fishing, hunting, watching football, especially the Carolina Panthers, and watching westerns on television. In addition to his parents, Mr. Beane was preceded in death by his wife, Trella Beane; son, Gilbert Beane; daughter, Peggy Hunt; and brother, Ernie Beane. Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Swaney, of Asheboro, Linda D. Feury, of Virginia, Tiffany Miller, of Asheboro; sons, Timmy Beane, Stevie Beane, both of Asheboro, Jerry Lee Hughes, of Florida, Scott Robinson, of Climax, Chris Beane, of Asheboro; sister, Kathleen Carter, of Star; brother, Darrell Beane, of Troy; 26 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and canine companion, Pepper. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, Teresa Swaney, 1431 Westchapel Road, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
