Irene Parham

Irene Lola Thompson Parham, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. Funeral services, will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Mt. Tabor Community Church with Pastor Dennis Welch and Pastor David Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Parham was born July 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Lacy and Lola Thompson. She loved animals, her family and God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Parham; brothers, Richard and David Thompson. Mrs. Parham is survived by her husband, Terry Farrell Parham; daughters, Lucille Atkins and husband, Robert of Seagove, Denise Parham of Asheboro, Ruth Ann Parham of Asheboro; sons, Gary Parham and wife, Nancy of Asheboro, David Parham and wife, Evelyn of Randleman, Jimmy Parham and wife, Tammy of Asheboro; sisters, Faye Hodge of Alabama, Carolyn Staley of Asheboro; brothers, Elmer Thompson and Larry Thompson, both of Georgia; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service and other times at the home of Ruth Ann Parham. Memorials may be made to Mt.
