Inez Purvis Beitzel

Mrs. Harriett Inez Purvis Beitzel, 80, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Friday, June 8, 2012, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Charles T. Reeder officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Beitzel was born March 30, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Eli Stedman Purvis and Nellie Mae Cooper Purvis. She retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. Beitzel and brother, Don Purvis. Mrs. Beitzel is survived by sons, Ronnie Beitzel, of Asheboro, NC, Phil Beitzel, of Asheboro, NC, son, Sammy Beitzel, and wife, Judy, of Thomasville, NC; sister, Betty Bunting, of Asheboro, NC; two grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Friday, June 8, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Woodland Hill Patient Care Fund, 400 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
