Ida King Auman

Ida King Auman, 85, of Seagrove, NC, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Sugg's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Maria Edmonds officiating. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Auman was born March 12, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Bascome King and Vellie Beatrice Cole King. Mrs. Auman was retired from Black and Decker and had worked from Graves Candle Company. She was a member of Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was an avid quilter and also enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, and spending time with her family that she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Auman was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Auman and her great granddaughter, Morgan King. Mrs. Auman is survived by daughter, Roberta Edmonds and husband, Roy, of Seagrove; son, Michael Raymond King and wife, Sue, of Carolina Beach; sisters, Gatha Bym, Doris Stevens, Molly Reeder and husband, Dewey, all of Seagrove; brothers, Reece King and wife, Geneva, of Seagrove, Don King and wife, Elda, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Lucia Edmonds, of Asheboro, Maria Edmonds, of Greensboro, Michael Todd King and wife, Mary Beth, of Kure Beach, Randall King and wife, Amy, of Murrells Inlet, SC; great grandchildren, David Moody, Sarah Moody, Emily King, Abby King, Jack King, Sean King and Henry King. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
