Homer Gerald Varner, 79, of Asheboro, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. The family will have a private memorial service. Born in Randolph County, on July 18, 1939, Mr. Varner was the son of the late Henry Alton Varner, and Mary Agnes Bright Varner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Roberson and his brother, Hal Varner. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Ann McDonald Varner, of the home; daughters, Tracey Lynn Hill and husband, Marvin, of Asheboro, Linda Quenzer, of Lancaster, PA; son, Thomas James Varner and wife, Cassie of Asheboro; sisters, Ruth Byrd, Virginia Russell and brother, Everett Varner, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Michael Hogan, Steven Hogan, Zachary Varner, Matthew Varner, Dakken Rodrigues, Victoria Quenzer, Jacqueline Quenzer.
