Hilda Poole Pickett

Hilda Poole Pickett, 82, of Asheboro, passed away on October 6, 2015 at The Randolph Hospice House. A service to celebrate Hilda's life will be held Saturday, October 10 at 1 pm at Central Falls United Methodist Church, 1436 Pennsylvania Ave, Asheboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Philip Poole and her sister Louise Crouse. Hilda is survived by her sister Delores Burton, her husband, Larry A. Pickett Sr., her sons Larry A. Pickett Jr and Charles Robert Pickett, her daughters Susan Thomas and Beverly Gordon, and 7 grandchildren. Hilda worked at Uwharrie Golf Course many years and retired from Randolph County DMV recently where she enjoyed meeting and serving people. She was a loyal and loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother (Mamaw). She enjoyed spending time with her family and bringing her special coconut cake and desserts to family gatherings. She also loved attending the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball and football games (Go Heels!!). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Central Falls United Methodist Church in memory of Hilda Pickett.
