Herman D. Dickerson

Mr. Herman Dalton Dickerson, 81, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles T. Reeder officiating. A native of Granville County, NC, Mr. Dickerson was born August 18, 1930. He was the son of the late Ernest Albert Dickerson and Mattie Williams Dickerson. He was the owner/operator of Dickerson Roofing and was a Shriner and volunteer fireman while living in Oxford, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Roberson Dickerson, and his second wife, DeEtta Farlow Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson is survived by his daughters, Betty D. Medlin and husband, Steve R., of Durham, NC, Mary Jane Matthews and husband, Jimmy, of Mebane, NC; sister, Katherine Moss, of Henderson, NC; grandchildren, Candy Medlin, Don Medlin and wife, Julia, Jimmy Matthews, Jr., and wife, Bonnie, Irene Milligan and husband, Dean, Torina Triplett and husband, Jimmy; great grandchildren, Eric Medlin, Robben Medlin, Hayley Matthews, Zoie Matthews, Deanna Milligan, Katie Milligan, Charity Milligan, Rowdy Milligan and wife, Ashley; great-great grandchild, Isaiah Milligan.
