Henry Thomas Spinks

Henry Thomas Spinks, 79, of Asheboro, passed away, Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

A private graveside service will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Born on July 27, 1946, in Randolph County, NC, Henry was the son of the late Henry Garland Spinks and Dorothy Lee Cheek Spinks. He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Henry loved traveling and he enjoyed cooking for his family.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Spinks; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Harris; sister, Janet Cassidy; and great granddaughter, Emma Dawn Harris.

Surviving are his daughters, Sandra Goldston (Walter), Denise McRae, Ann Spinks; sons, Lamont Green, Doug Harris, Chris Harris, Stan Harris (Robin); sisters, Ethelene Isley, Wilma Johnson, Darlene Bartell; brothers, Howard Spinks, Alvin Spinks, Earl Spinks, Kenneth Spinks, Jeff Spinks, Casey Spinks, Cecil Spinks, Thurman Spinks, Randy Spinks; 13 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
