Henry Reese Rives

Henry Reese Rives, 90, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Don Ashley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born on July 5, 1928 in Chatham County, NC, Mr. Rives was the son of the late Landon Joseph Rives and Sankie Dunn Rives. He was retired from Associated Trucking and the owner and operator of Henry's Tees. Mr. Rives was a member of Liberty Road Baptist Church and he served in the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rives was preceded in death by his son, Mark Hudspeth and his nephew, Don Rives. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Rives; daughters, Robin Byrd and husband, Larry, Kim Westmoreland and husband, Chris; sons, Robert Rives and wife, Linda, Billy "B.J." Rives, Chuck Hudspeth and wife, Holly; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home.
