Helen Woodell

Mary Helen Hogan Woodell, 69, of Asheboro, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Panther Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey Chappell, Rev. Pete Lamb, Rev. Doug Huttleston and Chaplain Joey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born May 18, 1948 in Montgomery County, Mrs. Woodell was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Hogan. She enjoyed working at Cross Roads Retirement Center. Mrs. Woodell loved cleaning, shopping, the beach and her dog, Precious. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Woodell; sister, Sue Wright; and brother, Marvin Hogan. Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Williams and husband, Junior of Seagrove; sons, Rickey Woodell, Jr. and wife, Patty of East Bend, Bruce Lineberry and Linda Stevens of Asheboro; sisters, Margaret Smith and husband, Earl of Cedar Falls, Reva Morton and husband, Ricky of Grays Chapel; brothers, Mitchell Hogan and wife, Carol, Calvin Hogan and wife, Becky, Kenneth Hogan and wife, Rose, all of Asheboro; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, P.O.
