Helen Dunn Williams

Mrs. Helen Christine Dunn Williams, 76, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, NC. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, October 14, 2011, at Central Falls Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Hussey and Rev. Charles Trout officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Williams was born September 1, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Ivey Stamey Dunn, Sr. and Gary Christine Thomas Dunn. She was retired from Asheboro City Schools. Mrs. Williams was a member of Central Falls Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She loved her family and was "Meemaw" to many children. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Williams, son, Alan Williams and brother, Alfred Dunn. Mrs. Williams is survived by daughter, Janice W. Moody and husband, Mark of Asheboro; son, Tony Williams and wife, Cheryl, of Asheboro; daughter-in-law, Debbie Williams, of Ramseur; sister, Doris Dunn Hinshaw and husband, Larry of Asheboro; brother, Ivey Stamey Dunn, Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Brian Williams and wife, Heather, Alesia Bowman and husband, Scott, John Williams, Jennifer Hunt and husband, Todd, Zack Williams, Kristy Williams, Cheyenne Williams and great grandchildren, Nathan Bowman, Julee Bowman, Thomas Hunt, Anthony Hunt and April Williams. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home Janice and Mark Moody, 1620 Old Farmer Road, Asheboro.
