Helen Brady Laughlin

Dorothy Helen Brady Laughlin, 86, of Randleman, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Stines and Rev. Arnold Luther. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mrs. Laughlin was born July 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Alpheus and Wanda Brady. She was a homemaker, a devoted loving wife, and deeply devoted to her family. She was considered a mother to many beyond her own family. She loved planting flowers, cooking, and was known for her biscuits and pinto beans. Mrs. Laughlin was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Laughlin was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Buddy" Laughlin, and her daughter, Jeanette Laughlin. Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Burgess and husband, Randy, Cathy Millikan and husband, Charles "Blue", all of Randleman; sister, Ruth Ingold, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tabby Burgess Farmer and husband, Wesley, Toni Millikan-Smith and husband, Ray, Dylan Henderson, Sean Henderson; great grandchildren, Kayla Farmer, Hunter Farmer, Emily Farmer, Jaden Smith, Zander Smith, and Hermonie Smith. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 533 S. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
