Helen Frances Cagle

Helen Frances Strider Cagle, 83, of Asheboro, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Pisgah United Methodist Church, Asheboro. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Born in Randolph Co., on February 1, 1936, to the late Charles Glenn Strider and Frances Elizabeth Lucas Strider, Helen was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, and a former Sunday School teacher, choir director, and United Methodist Women's President. Helen was a beautician for 50 years, graduated from Seagrove High School, the Class of 1954, and then graduated from Asheboro Cosmetology School. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Matthew Cagle; and brother, C.B. Strider. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, James Howard Cagle of the home; daughters, Diane Cagle Coley and husband Raeford, Patricia Cagle Jarvis and husband Sam; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Payne Cagle; sister, Sarah Strider Smith and husband Gary; grandchildren, Kevin Coley and wife Renee, Matthew Cagle and wife Devan, Christina Jarvis and fiancé Tim Somers, Cheryl Coley Henderson and husband Seth, Cody Cagle, Keith Jarvis; great grandchildren, Joah, Morgan, Lillian, and Daniel Coley; nephews, Billy Dean Strider and wife Pam, Elbert Strider and wife Tracy, Anthony Smith and wife Shannon. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2019, and other times at the home.
