Helen Kate Cranford Andrews, 87, of Asheboro, went to her heavenly home with her Lord, Sunday, March 30th, 2025, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at Liberty Fellowship Church located at 8165 New Hope Rd, Denton, NC 27239. Rev. Jamie Draughn will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. After burial, family and friends will gather in the fellowship building.
Helen was born on October 21st, 1937, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Ratio and Eva Cranford. She was an upholsterer in High Point, a production line assembler at Black & Decker in Asheboro and finally a Bagel Chef and Baker at Newbay’s in Asheboro. Helen was a life-long member at Liberty Fellowship Church where she enjoyed worshipping her Lord and fellowship with her family and friends. Helen provided desserts at Liberty’s covered dish lunches where she was famous for her Butter-Nut Pound Cakes and Chocolate Pound Cakes.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Andrews; brothers, James Wade Cranford (Geraldine) of Asheboro, Clyde Cranford (Evelyn) of High Point, Herman Cranford (Margaret) of Asheboro, Billy Cranford (Peggy) of Denton and Charlie Dale Cranford of Asheboro; and her sister, Linda May Craven (Darrell) of Seagrove.
She is survived by her brother, Roy Roger Cranford (Judy) of Denton, and her son Lenny Andrews (Patricia) of Asheboro.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff, doctors, nurses and CNA’s at The Randolph Hospice House and Hospice of Randolph County for the support provided to the family and care given to Helen.
