Hazel Viola Smith

Hazel Viola Teague Smith, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, April 13, 2019 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A private service will be held. Born in Flemington, NJ, on September 22, 1939, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late James and Mary Brown Teague. She was retired from Energizer. Hazel was known for her loving and generous spirit, relentless energy and gift of gab. She loved to tell stories and share memories with others. She was skilled at a variety of artistic endeavors including knitting, sewing, tatting and quilting. She loved gifting all her family and friends with her handcrafted treasures. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Smith. She is survived by many extended family members.
