Hazel Combs Kirkman Needham, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 13, 2020, at her home in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Tommy Combs officiating. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Reidsville. Hazel was born on October 4, 1928, in Rockingham Co.,the daughter of the late Rodger L. Kirkman and the late Madge Hylton Kirkman. She was employed by Kayser-Roth, formerly Burlington Mills, for almost 40 years. She was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church in Asheboro for 59 years before moving to Florida to live with her son. There she was a member of Grace Community Baptist Church for five years before returning to Asheboro where she became a member of Providence Baptist Church. Having trusted the Lord Jesus as her Savior at age 16, she lived for the Lord and served Him all the days of her life. Hazel was preceded in death by her first husband Nelson Combs and her second husband Carl Needham and a sister, Irene Powell of Eden. She is survived by her son, Tommy Combs and wife Thyra of Asheboro; brother, Wallace Kirkman and wife Thelma of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
