Hazel J. Johnson

Hazel Virginia Jarrell Johnson, 89, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Autumn Care in Biscoe. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Officiating will be Charles Reeder. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Johnson was born September 20, 1927, the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Lucas Jarrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, George W. "Jack" Johnson, and her brother, Garland Jarrell. Survivors include her daughters, Kay J. Connor and husband, George, of Randleman, Krista J. Tarlton and husband, Keith, of Asheboro; sister, Lorene J. Hicks, of Greensboro; brother, Roger Jarrell and wife, Barbara, of Greensboro; grandchildren, Brian Connor, Justin Tarlton; and great-grandchildren, Cole Connor, Shea Connor and Noah Tarlton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home.
