Hazel Skeen Ennis

Mrs. Hazel Lee Skeen Ennis, age 89, of Asheboro, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at West Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Outen and Rev. Lee Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Mrs. Ennis was born September 24, 1922, in Asheboro to the late Herbert and Nannie Poole Skeen. She was a lifelong resident of Asheboro and was retired from Jockey International. She was a member of West Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Britt, Clifford and J.D. Skeen, and her husband, Clarence Ennis. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Robert Whitehorne, of High Point; her grandchildren, Andrew Whitehorne and Kathryn Whitehorne and her fiancé, Cory Duncan, all of Raleigh; her brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Eva Skeen of Robbins; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Road, on Friday evening, November 11, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be directed to West Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Gary Bunting, 2539 S.
