Hattie Williamson Beane, 79, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Panther Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Huttleston and Pastor Charles Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born August 29, 1937 in Montgomery County, Mrs. Bean was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Jane Williamson. She was an active member of Panther Creek Baptist Church and was involved in numerous activities there. Hattie loved flowers and often gave them to people as gifts. She had a talent for making baskets from pine needles and she also enjoyed sewing and embroidery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Glenn Beane; brothers, Jonah and Dennis Williamson; and sisters, Bertha Lucas and Nora Presnell. Mrs. Beane is survived by her daughter, Hattie Darlene Beane of Asheboro; sons, Edward Beane and wife, Donna of Asheboro, Fred Beane and wife, Kathy of Laurinburg, NC, and Jimmy Wilkerson of Asheboro; sisters, Gladys Hill, Irene Callicutt, Mary Gray, Ruby Brown; brothers, James Williamson and Lawrence Voncannon; grandchildren, Jeremy Beane, Amanda Beane, Terrell Beane, Harrison Beane, Jonathan Beane, Rebecca Anderson, Matthew Ford, Danielle Beane, Christopher Medlin and William Medlin; and seventeen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ed and Donna Beane.
