Harvey C. Rose

Mr. Harvey Coy Rose, 83, of Simi Valley, CA, died Saturday, April 7, 2012. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Russell's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Fonner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Rose was born March 7, 1929. He was the son of the late Coy Grover Rose and Stella Gladys Hare Rose. He grew up in Asheboro and lived in Simi Valley, California for the last 57 years. He was a truck driver and had a strong love of God and Country. He enjoyed people and making everyone laugh and was loved by everyone that met him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Gladys Rose. Mr. Rose is survived by his sons, Alan Rose and wife, Susan, of Westlake Village, CA, Lanny Rose and wife, Linda, of Monterey, CA; grandchildren, Shawn Rose, Derrick Rose and wife, Shannon, Evan Rose, Erik Rose, Paul Rose, Kristen Rose; great grandson, Duncan Rose; sister, Ruth Hunter and husband, Jim, of Riverside, CA; brother, Blythe Rose, of Moncure, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Russell's Grove Baptist Church.
