James Harvey Ferree, 85, of Asheboro, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Born January 14, 1940, in Franklinville, NC, Mr. Ferree was the son of the late Alton and Eva Hooker Ferree. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he dedicated several years of service as an airplane mechanic, and was a member of Central Church. Mr. Ferree was the retired owner/operator of Bread and Spread located at the Tank & Tummy on Hwy. 64/49. Later in life, he worked alongside his son at Tarheel Metal Structures, where he continued to demonstrate his work ethic and love of family.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ferree of the home; daughter, Jaime Worsham (Joel) of Asheboro; son, Jeff Ferree (Amy) of Asheboro; sister, Linda Thomas (Boyd) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Abbie, Jodie, Taylor, Emma Ferree (Grant Daniel); who will miss his guidance, love, and unwavering support.
